House with artist's studio in Art Deco, designed in 1933 by the architect Alfons Van Braekel for Emile and Victor Naveau, who had it built for their brother Raymond; the studio was intended for his wife, the painter and engraver Maria Aldernagt. In Deurne, the brown-brick building shows clear Amsterdam School features: decorative brickwork, a picturesque play of bay windows and a deeply recessed door bay. Its four bays combine a wide, low studio on the left with the two-storey living quarters on the right, with openings in white stone surrounds. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
