Building of six flats built for F. Verwilghen to a design by the architect Benoit J. Dupont (1936), representative of his moderately progressive late inter-war architecture, between Art Deco and modernism. On a reinforced-concrete frame, the asymmetrical two-bay, six-storey façade combines yellow Belvédère brick with natural-stone slabs and bluestone; it is divided into a flat ground floor, upper floors marked by a rectangular oriel, and a set-back attic with a stepped crowning. The entrance hall and stairwell retain a marble floor, panelling in contrasting woods, the original lift with a wooden car, and two polychrome relief wall paintings depicting Arcadian landscapes.
