The head office of the Frans Fils shoe factory, with offices, a showroom and warehouses, was built along the avenue in 1927 by the architect François Van Meulecom; the inventory describes it as avant-garde architecture that incorporated numerous mirrored FF initials, those on the side pediments having been lost in later alterations. Its red-brick façade, enhanced with imitation stone and bluestone, has two storeys and four bays, the side bays under stepped pediments with a trapezoidal oriel. In 1940 the same architect added a five-storey warehouse articulated by six monumental columns. Converted into lofts and an art gallery from 2006 onwards, the complex has largely kept its front façades.
