Multi-family house in a sober Art Deco style in Wilrijk, built to a March 1931 design by the architect Arthur Vander Heyden for Louis Rubbens, upholsterer, innkeeper and owner of the adjoining shop-house, which has not survived. A three-storey corner house under a flat roof, it stands near the site of the former Wilrijk station; the canted corner bay is treated on the upper floors as a three-sided bay window, and a corbel bears the inscription "ART. VAN DER HEYDEN BOUWKUNDIGE". The brown-red brick façades on a bluestone plinth are set off with contrasting imitation-stone render for the string courses, impost blocks and panels beneath the windows, decorated with a central relief of flower and leaf motifs. The ground-floor windows have chamfered upper corners and those of the second floor end in a half-octagon; the joinery has been renewed following the original glazing pattern. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
