Maison bourgeoise Art déco, Frans Nagelsplein 8 — Anvers

This modest Art Deco town house in Wilrijk was built for Josephus Bergé to a design approved in 1934; the building file names no designer. Its yellow-brick façade, enhanced with red-brown brickwork and light-yellow painted rendered sections, shows the polychromy of materials typical of Art Deco. The ground floor has a bay window with stepped volumes, and the original joinery retains its polychrome leaded glass with geometric motifs, as does the front-garden enclosure.
