Pair of linked, semi-detached villas built after a 1931 Art Deco design by the architect Gaston De Bruyker of Sint-Idesbald and carried out in 1932. The left-hand villa was built for the warrant officer Irmand Verteneul, the right-hand one for his son-in-law, the schoolteacher Emiel Frans Laureys; the name "Villa Anna" refers to the lady of the house, Anna Verteneul-Tyberghien. The two-storey volume, of red brick alternating with white render under a mixed roof of tiles and slates, has an asymmetrical composition marked on the left by a lopsided gable with brickwork in a decorative bond. In the centre, a curved entrance bears the inscription "Anna" in contemporary lettering, and semicircular bay windows occupy the corners. The two houses have mirrored plans organised around an entrance and stair hall on the shared side. The houses are recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
