Maison de rapport Art déco, rue Laneau 36

Asymmetrical Art Deco apartment house designed in 1927 by the architect A. Van Bever. The orange-brick façade, enlivened with white artificial stone, white stone and blue stone, has projecting bays flanked by giant pilasters. In the main bay, a small trapezoidal oriel on a carved corbel carries a terrace with a wrought-iron scroll railing, beneath a cornice on triple brackets. The taller entrance bay ends in a polygonal stone gable with steps and keystones; carved floral decoration adorns in particular the spandrels and the entablature. The building is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
