Maison de rapport Art déco, rue Jean Heymans 23

Asymmetrical Art Deco apartment house, signed on the plinth by the architect C. Desmaré and dated 1932. The three-storey, flat-roofed façade in yellow brick with emphasised horizontal joints is enlivened with blue stone. In the main bay, the plinth with its garage entrance is surmounted by a small single-storey oriel beneath a terrace and by a balcony on the second floor, with tubular railings between brick cheeks. A broadly overhanging flat cornice crowns the façade between stone finials. The door with geometric grilles and the glazing-barred upper-floor windows survive; the building is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
