First home of the architect Geo Brosens, in an early Art Deco style ("vroege art-decostijl") according to the inventory, built to a 1922 design; the mansard, not originally planned, was added during construction in 1923, and the second floor was intended as a modest rented flat. With the neighbouring Lagrange apartment building of 1923, it is one of the earliest known works of Brosens, who was head of studio at the office of Vincent Cols and Jules De Roeck in the 1920s and lived in the house for about ten years. The terraced house of two unequal bays has three storeys under a pseudo-mansard; the red-brick cornice façade, with bluestone for the high moulded plinth, the porch and the frames and white stone for the top storey, reflects the interior layout of a narrow bay for the porch, staircase and service rooms and a wide bay with triple windows. The rental floor forms a stone attic with grooved piers and a frieze of rosettes; the porch, framed by a dentilled entablature on colonnettes, keeps its varnished wooden door and its wrought-iron Art Deco grille with spiral motifs, beneath a stone bearing the date 1922. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
