Town house designed in 1932 by the architect H. Lefevre in an Art Deco style that the inventory calls progressive ("vooruitstrevende art-decostijl"), for the schoolteacher Laurent Godecharle; it forms an ensemble with the two neighbouring houses, of the same expressive character. Under a flat roof, its narrow façade in yellow and red brick on a blue stone plinth is clearly divided in two. The narrow right-hand bay, in red brick, contains the staircase and rises higher than its neighbour; a monumental stair window runs through it uninterrupted over all the floors, with horizontally divided steel frames that the inventory describes as characteristic of Art Deco. The wide left-hand bay, in yellow brick, has one rectangular opening per floor: the steel door with relief glass beneath a fanlight protected by a geometric Art Deco grille, then steel windows with a fixed fanlight with geometric glazing bars, on triangular stone sills supported by a geometric ornament. Inside, the entrance hall and staircase take up the whole width of the front of the house. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
