Maison, boulevard Louis Schmidt 72

On the corner of rue Aviateur Thieffry, an Art Deco house with three façades built under a 1926 permit application to plans by the architect Henry Vaes, who signed it. Its red-brick façades under a mansard roof are enlivened by trapezoidal bow windows; the one on the main façade rises through three storeys and is topped by a balcony with an ironwork railing set in a gable. The elevation, originally of only two storeys over a raised basement, was altered in 1975.
