Maison Art déco, Karel Oomsstraat 4

Art Deco town house built for H. Callot to a design by the architect Walter Van Kuyck (1928). The four-bay, three-storey cornice façade, entirely faced in natural stone on a bluestone plinth, follows the classical tripartite division: a ground floor with arched openings, upper floors articulated by giant pilasters, and an entablature crowned by a blind attic. The two-bay side projection is marked by a bow window with a wrought-iron balcony, a triple window and a segmental pediment; the wrought-iron door and garage door and the wooden window frames survive.
