Immeuble de rapport Art déco, rue Frans Binjé 18a-18b

Art Deco block of flats built in 1928 by the architect Jean Gustenhoven, with four storeys under a mansard. The granito-rendered ground floor has a doorway framed in bluestone and two garage doors with canted corners. The brick upper floors are enhanced with white imitation stone in breast panels with floral friezes, with a trapezoidal wooden oriel and a broadly projecting cornice. The oak doors and the window frames survive. The building is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
