Art Deco hotel built in 1932 to the designs of the architect Marcel Chabot for the Société immobilière rurale et urbaine, on the corner of rue du Progrès and rue des Croisades. The eight-storey painted imitation-stone façade is enlivened by continuous oriels of rectangular or triangular section that rise above the cornice, each crowned by a flagstaff finial except the one over the corner bay, originally of glass and metal and carrying the "Nord-Hôtel" sign. During the 1989-1990 restoration the interior was turned into a hotel-museum decorated by more than 130 Belgian artists, and the corner bay received a dome identical to the original, with neon decoration by the sculptor F. Flauch.
