Art Deco hotel built from a design by the architect E. Libion of 1928-1929 and completed in 1930. This L-shaped reinforced-concrete complex has eight levels, the top two set back in stages; the white stone main facade, four wide bays across, is marked by a play of oriels and balconies alternating convex and concave lines. The sculpted decoration combines friezes and baskets of roses, with fan-pattern ironwork balustrades; the ground floor was altered in 1960 by the architect M. A. Van Cauwelaert.
