A corner café and a row of seven two-family houses in Art Deco / Nieuwe Zakelijkheid style, all designed by the architect Jos Chabot. The corner café was built in 1934 for the Jacobs brewery, and the ten houses that follow in 1935 for the Andries brothers. They are rectangular volumes of two storeys under flat roofs, faced in red and ochre brick with emphasised ribbon joints. The café keeps its rounded corner, a concrete canopy and an original curved leaded-glass window; the adjoining houses, each symmetrical yet different, play with horizontal and vertical windows and porthole windows.
