Nearly semi-detached town house with a garage, built in Deurne to a 1928 design by François Toen for Timmermans. After the First World War Toen, an architect and developer active from around 1895, turned to an ornamental Art Deco to which the inventory assigns this house; it belongs to a homogeneous row of six houses (nos. 7 to 17) designed in 1927 or 1928. The cornice façades, in red brick on a bluestone plinth under a mansard roof, are enlivened by large recessed panels combined with imitation stone or natural stone; the wide bay opens with a three-sided bay window continued by a balcony and topped by a mitre-shaped crowning. The Art Deco ornament consists of floral elements, stylised flower vases with spirals, garlands, fluting and bead motifs; the old front door with its canopy on corbels survives. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
