Art Deco house with a warehouse, designed in 1924 by the architect E.A. Van Hemelrijck for Louis Petré. The plans in the building file show only three storeys, but the house has three and a half under a flat roof, probably from the outset. The cornice façade, faced with white natural stone on a low bluestone plinth, opens on the left with a wide gateway giving access to the warehouse that occupies the whole ground floor; on the second storey, a broad stone bay window has a parapet with Art Deco decoration, repeated in the balcony railing that tops it. The mezzanine has geometric Art Deco decoration on its parapet, and the façade is crowned by a fluted frieze broken in the centre by an Art Deco pediment. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory and stands within the protected townscape of Zurenborg.
