Multi-family house in a moderate Art Deco style, built for Henri Vrancken to a design by the master builder ("bouwmeester") August Vochten of Merksem; the building files date from 1932. First planned with three storeys, it was given an extra floor through an application renewed two weeks after the first was filed. The five-bay terraced house has four storeys under a flat roof; its sober cornice façade is in red brick, with bluestone for the plinth and white stone for the sills and mullions. Its registers of rectangular openings, round-arched on the top storey, are punctuated by rising window bays whose parapets are accentuated by brick mosaics in a darker red, and a bow window with a wrought-iron balcony, rising over two storeys, links the third and fourth bays. The wooden joinery of the door and windows survives, as do the wrought-iron grilles and the cast-iron boot scraper; the house, which contains four simple flats of one storey each, is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
