Art Deco two-family house, dated 1925 by a year inscription, built for the Vanacker family of flax retters as an extension of the 1922 house that stands behind it, in the middle of a wooded garden. Built in concrete, it has three storeys and two window bays on the street side under a flat roof, with a strongly projecting moulded cornice that once carried a balustrade. The cemented façade is decorated with white-painted Art Deco motifs, notably on the corbels of the second storey and at the level of the lintels; two three-sided bow windows over two storeys, crowned with iron balcony railings, frame a niche containing a statue of the Sacred Heart. The small porches in the side elevations have mosaic floors with the initials VD and DV (Vanacker-Demeulenaere), and the interior keeps mosaic and terrazzo floors, marble wainscoting, a staircase with a cherry-wood balustrade and, on the third storey, a flax loft with its pulley on a rail for hoisting the flax. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
