Director's house of the brush factory "La brosserie industriëlle", built for E. de Ber; reportedly founded around 1930 in Marktstraat, the business moved in 1937 to Camiel Ameyestraat. An Art Deco house of 1937, according to its date stone, to designs by A. Bauwens of Mouscron, it is marked by its geometric ornaments, including a ball ornament. The brick cornice façade, of two bays and two storeys on a plinth of blue stone and rubble, has a window bay marked by a rectangular oriel and a raised door bay with decorative brickwork and a narrow pier of black glazed tiles, with a moulded porch whose fanlight and side light are filled with leaded glass. The Art Deco interior keeps a geometric staircase and a marble fireplace in the living room. The factory buildings at the rear were demolished around 2008-2009; only the house survives, the part to the right of the entrance passage having been incorporated into a new house (no. 29). The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
