Art Deco house divided into flats, signed on the plinth by the architect Jules Faes, 1936, who also designed the neighbouring house at no. 53. The asymmetrical three-storey façade beneath a flat roof, in orange brick, is enhanced with bluestone and midnight-blue Helman ceramic tiles lining the piers, oculi, sills and lintels. Above the garage entrance and paired windows, an oriel with corner windows is punctuated by small ceramic panels. The taller entrance bay has a recessed porch beneath a segmental concrete canopy, oculi and a spurred pilaster; the wooden doors have been preserved. The building is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
