Art Deco block of flats for rent designed in 1937 by the architect Joe Ramaekers. The three-storey, flat-roofed façade of sanded yellow brick, set off by reconstituted white stone and bluestone, rests on a plinth of “bronze” brick. On the ground floor a projecting volume beneath a terrace, originally faced in “glass granite”, combines a canted side and an entrance porch under a thick cornice forming a curved canopy. The upper floors have windows with continuous lintels or sills and a pilaster rising above the cornice, with a patterned attic railing.
