Maison de commerce Art déco, Henri Lebbestraat 41-43 — Waregem

Shop and dwelling in the Art Deco style, built in 1933 for the cabinetmaker Maurice Loquet (no. 43) and the factory weaver Ivo Loquet (no. 41). The façade of this terraced building, in typical orange brick on a bluestone plinth, shows characteristic brickwork; above the shop window and the carriage entrance, pilaster strips capped with bluestone originally rose higher (they were partly altered when the cornice of no. 43 was added). The beige-painted wooden gate and the shopfront are in the Art Deco style. The remaining joinery survives, except for the door and the ground-floor window of no. 41. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
