Art Deco house built in 1932 to designs by the architect L. Van Hoorne of Roeselare. Built of red brick under a half-hipped roof of machine-made tiles, with rubble stone for the base and bluestone for the plinth, it makes extensive use of decorative concrete: the courses crowning the stepped gable, the continuous lintels and the bases of the bay windows on stepped corbels, and the top of the pergola over the recessed balcony. Decorative brickwork and horizontal and vertical bonds recur rhythmically. The iron front door, the wooden double carriage door and the red-painted wooden cornice on brackets survive; the windows have been renewed. According to the inventory, the Art Deco style reportedly continues inside, notably in the floor, a leaded-glass window, the handles, the staircases of wood or clad in black glazed ceramic tiles and paintings with floral motifs. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
