Art Deco town house built, according to the 1930 permit application, for the engineer Cyrille De Bièvre, possibly to his own design. A civil and naval engineer, De Bièvre was from 1923 to 1954 director of the Antwerp shipbuilding firm Mercantile Marine Engineering & Graving Docks Co., and an amateur astronomer. This sober terraced house has a three-storey stone façade under a slate pseudo-mansard. The asymmetrical composition emphasises the wide bay, with a bow window, a balcony and a triple window; the low ground floor is treated as a rusticated plinth and the upper floors are marked by pilasters. The varnished wooden windows and the wrought-iron door and garage door survive, but the front-garden railing has been removed. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
