Former house of M. Govaert-Carton, on the corner of Stationsstraat, built in 1933 by the architect M. Mornie, as a small stone in the plinth records; it now houses the ACLVB liberal trade union. An Art Deco brick house that the inventory links to "Romantic Cubism", it has a yellow-brick facing with deep horizontal joints on a plinth of bluestone slabs, divided into two registers by broad rendered bands, under an overhanging wooden cornice running round the building. The rounded corner bay is marked on the upper floor by a wraparound bay window. On each street, the door bay is emphasised on the upper floor by a French window with a balcony and tubular railing; the wide rectangular windows have renewed joinery. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
