House with shop, office and workshop in the Art Deco style, built under a building application of 1925 for Charles Meurisse, a contractor specialising in plumbing, heating, pumps and zinc work; his initials appear in low relief on the bay window on the Tentoonstellingslaan side, and the fitting for an outdoor tap bears the inscription "Ch. Meurisse – Gand – Che. D'Ottergem – 139". A three-storey corner building under a flat roof, with a chamfered and strongly marked corner bay, it is faced in red and yellow brick, with bands and decorative motifs in imitation stone, on a plinth partly of blue stone; the original wooden cornice has gone. Lesenes and floral motifs on rendered panels linking the windows of the two upper floors give the façade its vertical rhythm, coloured bands and brick friezes its horizontal one. At the corner and on the Tentoonstellingslaan side rises a taller section of façade with a curved pediment, between lesenes decorated with a palmette motif; the joinery has been renewed. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
