Townhouse in a simple Art Deco style, designed in 1928 by the master builder ("bouwmeester") Frans Blommaert for Eugeen Wauters. According to the inventory, Blommaert, who also worked with the architect E. Wauters, left designs for single-family houses and apartment buildings from the interwar years, simple, in Art Deco or modernist style; he also designed other houses in the Venneborglaan, in Deurne. The house of two bays and two storeys under a tiled gable roof has a red-brick cornice façade on a painted stone plinth, combined with rendered sections on the ground floor and in the gable. The wide bay draws attention with a three-sided bay window and a tall gabled dormer; the cornice rests on brackets, a decoration repeated around the gable. The inventory cites as Art Deco features the polychrome stained-glass fanlights of the door and windows, the wooden door with a small oval window with a grille and the wrought-iron railing above the bay window; the house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
