Semi-detached Art Deco townhouse, built according to the 1936 building application by the local contractor Callens for J. Masereel; the plans name neither an architect nor a designer. The garage dates from 1952. Of two storeys under a flat roof, the rounded front has four bays in all; the red-brick facing is expressively combined with brick-on-edge courses, tile-bond sections and brick mosaic. Strongly horizontal, with its cement bands, cornice and blind attic, this architecture is described by the inventory as halfway "between Art Deco and modernism". The entrance loggia with corner column, the stacked bay windows, the stair window, the porthole windows and the small wooden oriels of the side elevation are its characteristic features; the house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
