Town house in the Art Deco style named 'SUOMI' after the inscription on the parapet, signed to the left of the porch by the contractor G. Deman (Ostend) and built in 1932 according to the cadastre. Fronted by a small garden enclosed by a low rendered wall and geometric iron railings between piers, this single-fronted house of three storeys and two bays, under a gabled roof of machine-made tiles, has a rendered and painted façade on a bluestone plinth. The taller left-hand window bay is marked by a trapezoidal bay window over two storeys beneath an open balustrade, further verticalised by a central chevron-shaped crowning element pierced by two discs; the door bay has a loggia above the porch, which is flanked by column-like posts. The typical rectangular openings have bevelled upper corners, the fanlights keep their small glazing bars, and the partly glazed double door has an iron grille with a geometric pattern. The house belongs to an ensemble of interwar houses and flats with front gardens, protected as a monument in 2005.
