Art Deco town house designed in 1929 by the Liège architect Léon Herben for the insurance broker Alfons Herben. Planned with three storeys, it has only two, under a mansard roof covered in black glazed tiles, and so breaks the height of the row. The red-brick cornice façade, enlivened by decorative brickwork and rendered surfaces on a blue stone plinth, is topped by a frieze of turquoise glazed bricks. On the ground floor, the door and the wide window have chamfered upper corners, beneath a rendered frieze with an Art Deco bas-relief; the upper floor rises above a string course with a carved corbel and has a rendered two-sided bow window with two mitre-shaped windows, set in a recess with splayed reveals and crowned with ornamental render, between motifs of turquoise bricks. The joinery is recent. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
