Town house in a sober Art Deco style, designed in 1929 by the Ghent architect Hubert Louël for the widow of Gaston Scheiris, a trader. Of three storeys under a pitched roof, it has a narrow door bay and, on the left, a wide window bay. The red-brick cornice façade on a low blue stone plinth is topped by a cornice of decorative brickwork beneath a wooden gutter; the ground floor is emphasised by red-brown glazed bricks laid vertically. The wooden door with a grille has a fanlight separated by a projecting transom, and two coupled windows are set between rendered posts and lintel. On the upper floors, the windows of the door bay, with rendered keystones, sit in a recessed panel, and the left-hand bay carries on the first floor a three-sided oriel on a stepped corbel; the window joinery is recent. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
