Maison bourgeoise Art déco, Klinkkouterstraat 83 — Gand

This imposing Art Deco town house in Sint-Amandsberg was the subject of a building application in 1925, submitted by the clerk Oscar De Vylder-Desquesne, and was registered in the land register in 1927. Almost symmetrical, the double-fronted house has three wide bays and three storeys under a flat roof, in red brick enlivened by vertical bonding. It is marked by ground-floor openings with chamfered upper corners and by the central octagonal window on the upper floor. It is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
