Art Deco town house designed in 1939 by the architect Ernest Snoeck, whose signature appears on a façade stone, for J. Matthijs. The three-storey façade under a flat roof combines a narrow, taller door bay in black brick and a broad yellow brick window bay with a convex oriel on the upper floor. The round-arched wrought-iron door with coloured glass and leaded glass, and its curved leaded fanlight, survive. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
