Art Deco town house built for W. Raydt to a 1926 design by the practice Gebroeders Wauters, that of the brothers Paul and Gustave Wauters, active from the early 20th century to the end of the interwar period. Terraced, with a three-bay natural-stone cornice façade, it has three storeys and a slate pseudo-mansard; the composition reflects the bel-étage plan, with a low ground floor and upper storeys articulated by pilasters. The emphasis lies on the wide bow window of the main floor, crowned by a balcony; the Art Deco decoration is concentrated in the entablature, with robust blocked corbels and drip mouldings, while the lower register has finely carved cartouches and flower baskets. The wooden joinery and the wrought iron of the door, windows and balcony balustrade survive; the front-garden railing disappeared when a garage was inserted on the ground floor. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
