Building of ten modest rental flats in a sober Art Deco style, built in Borgerhout for Constant Gillis to a 1928 design by the architects Paul and Gustave Wauters (Gebroeders Wauters). The three-bay, five-storey cornice façade, in red brick in cross bond with white natural stone for sills, jambs and quoins, on a bluestone plinth, is symmetrical and markedly vertical: two three-sided oriels flank the central projection with the entrance and stairwell. In the hall, the Antwerp lift builder Daelemans installed an electric passenger lift for three people in 1930, with folding landing gates and a wooden car.
