Maison Art déco, rue du Melon 22

Art Deco house designed by the architect Walthère Michel in 1925. Its asymmetrical two-storey red-brick elevation is enhanced with blue stone and concrete elements, beneath a mansard roof. The main bay is fronted on the upper floor by a trapezoidal oriel, topped by a transom window. The joinery, including the stained-glass door and the small-paned window frames, is original. The building is recorded in the inventory of architectural heritage.
