Maison Art déco, Oorderseweg 19 — Anvers

Art Deco terraced house in Ekeren, built for Arthur Veresen to a design of 1938. The two-bay, two-storey facade, in decorative yellow brick partly laid in a vertical bond, is crowned by a projecting eaves cornice on paired consoles; the slightly projecting entrance bay opens through a porch rounded at the corner, and the upper-floor oriel has a rounded, open left corner with a tubular metal balustrade. The windows keep fanlights of coloured glass, and the door a round oculus and geometric grille. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
