Town house in a "zakelijk" (functional) Art Deco style, built for P. Ed. De Bock to a 1929 design by the architect F. Vernimmen, whose name is inscribed on the plinth; the inventory relates this sober brick architecture to the Amsterdam School. It has two storeys and two bays under a flat roof, behind a small front garden enclosed by an iron railing and a gate between brick piers. The dark-brick façade on a bluestone plinth is articulated by brick relief, with rectangular openings beneath concrete lintels; the projecting entrance bay has a recessed ground floor under a concrete lintel and a door with a small window under a canopy, an upper storey with rounded corners between concrete quoins, and a crowning of brick relief and bricks forming crenellations beneath a natural-stone coping. The joinery of the door, windows and canopy survives, as does the coloured textured glass of the transoms. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
