Villa Art déco, Oudstrijderslei 9 — Anvers

Art Deco house of 1936, built for a certain J.B.O. to a design by the architect Pierre Backer Overbeek, who featured it in a promotional photograph. This semi-detached brick house of one bay and one storey under a slate roof has a corner window and a rendered upper section. An unusual low apsidal annex on the side contains the entrance, with a sidelight under a straight canopy, and a ribbon window below a conical tiled roof. The villa is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
