Detached town house in the Art Deco style, built to a plan of 1929 by the architect (Maurits) Petrus De Brauwer of Zele for the widow Van Lier-De Mets; on the left, an articulated garden wall shows geometric brickwork. Of two bays and two storeys under a tiled saddle roof, it has an asymmetrical elevation dominated by the wider side projection, with recessed, slightly curved windows flanked by two paired colonnettes under a curved gable; this form is repeated in the upper window, the transoms of all the joinery, the cornice, the ashlar plinth, the cellar grille and the gate. The narrow door bay is emphasised by a semicircular bay window on the piano nobile. The original joinery, with small panes in the transoms, survives; the contrast of materials (brick and ashlar) is now lessened by new pointing and white-painted brickwork. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
