House of the architect (Maurits) Petrus De Brauwer of Zele, designed in 1931 by and for its owner. A double-fronted house of three bays and two storeys under a pseudo-mansard roof in the Art Deco style, it owes its character to its brickwork and a colourful facing of red and yellow brick (for the wall surfaces, the vertical pilaster strips and the dentil frieze respectively) and beige artificial stone (quoins and lintels). In the wider, taller left-hand bay, the openings and a dormer have chamfered upper corners. The central front door, of the same shape, is set within a stepped brick surround and has ironwork and joinery with the same geometric motifs. The house is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
