Immeuble de rapport Art déco, boulevard Lambermont 51

Art Deco block of flats with a commercial ground floor, signed on the first floor by the architect J. Teughels, 1924. Its symmetrical five-storey elevation beneath a mansard roof has three bays, the central one narrower. The ground floor, faced in pink and yellow marble, is marked by a broad basket-handle arcade framing the entrance porch, flanked by two shopfronts with curved corner glazing. On the upper floors, the side bays form curved oriels that give the cornice a shaped outline, and bas-reliefs of scrolls and fruit baskets adorn the façade. The ground-floor joinery survives; the building is recorded in the inventory.
