Art Deco apartment building designed in 1934 by the architect Willy Minnigh at the entrance to Square Léopold II, replacing three mansions built in 1900. Its façade of red brick with emphasised horizontal joints and reconstituted white stone is arranged in successive projections, with a quarter-cylinder corner, a small oriel and a trapezoidal bay window. Two carved mermaids, one in high relief and the other in low relief accompanied by fish, are signed “Pierre Crocq / sculpteur / 1936”. The original attic storey was replaced in 1996 by three levels designed by Jean Boland; the building is recorded in the legal inventory.
