A former branch of the Handelsbank, a Ghent limited company, for which Jan-Albert De Bondt drew up the plans in 1926. The brick building stands diagonally on a corner plot, with stepped vertical volumes whose severity is softened by very expressive brickwork: upright and horizontal bonds, bricks of varying shades, bricks laid projecting. Two corner turrets topped with lanterns and a roof terrace complete the composition. It has been listed since 2003.
