A bar opened in 1937 in an apartment building of 1892 (Danthine), at the corner of rue Antoine Dansaert and rue des Chartreux. Its interior was fitted out in 1943 by Franz Van Ruyskensvelde. The heritage inventory classes it as Eclecticism and Modernism rather than Art Deco proper. The jazz club has been a listed monument since 2011.
