Ronse — from Kruisstraat to Hermes Van Wynghenestraat, via Léopold Sturbautstraat

In Ronse, this route brings together nine Art Deco buildings from 1928 to 1940. It starts at the villa U. Hantson built in 1929 on Kruisstraat to plans by Albert Massez, then passes the house signed “architect Decordier/ Oudenaarde” (1928), which keeps stained-glass doors and cement-tile floors inside, and the semi-detached houses designed by A. De Gavre (1935), one in brown brick, the other in red brick. After the house Raymond Delgutte signed in 1932, it reaches Léopold Sturbautstraat, with two identical houses of 1933, a house by Albert Massez (1932) with Art Deco stained glass and a house by G. Lagache (1935). It then passes the mirror-image group designed by B. De Beurme (1939), whose garages are in the basement, and ends at the yellow-brick façade with round windows that Siméon Van Cauwenberghe designed in 1940 for a remodelled house.
