Villa in the "Dutch style", an Art Deco idiom influenced by the Amsterdam School, built in Ekeren according to the 1931 building application by the Dutch contractor Willem Sebastiaan Van der Sterre, manager of NV Nationaal Grondbezit. It was his own home and company headquarters, and served as the model for the De Ruysscher-Reuters villa in Oudstrijderslei. Standing detached in a corner garden, it has a monumental bell-shaped tiled roof and a conical corner chimney. The building is recorded in the Flemish architectural heritage inventory.
