A former meeting centre with a chapel for the air base, this building was erected in 1928 to a design by Carlos Beyaert of Izegem for the non-profit "Cercle Militaire de Wevelghem", and was consecrated by Mgr Waffelaert, Bishop of Bruges, on 2 October 1928. In Art Deco style, it has two storeys of light grey brick with varied decorative bonds and a small bell turret with a cross on the street side. The ground floor served as a meeting and party hall; the chapel upstairs shows Neo-Byzantine influences. Requisitioned by the Luftwaffe during the war and closed in 1982, it has been a protected monument since 2005.
